Public Lounge

We believe that innovation shouldn’t just happen behind closed doors.

The Lounge is our free, public workspace – ideal for entrepreneurs, tiny startup teams, freelancers, and more. We offer free WiFi, writeable walls, and flexible seating. Unlike typical co-working spaces, there is no membership model or fee to work in the District Hall Lounge.

Following the City of Boston’s new indoor mask mandate, District Hall will be requiring all people over age two to wear a mask or face covering when inside the building. All guests must wear masks or face coverings at all times except when actively eating or drinking, including guests in our free, public workspace and attendees in our meeting + event rooms.

Free Wifi

Our entire building is equipped with high-speed wireless, so you can stream Netflix AND get your work done at the same time.

Integrated Power Tables

No more fighting over the single wall outlet. Our worktables have integrated power so you never have to pause from your work to recharge.

Writeable Walls

Our walls are painted with IdeaPaint, an innovative paint that transforms walls into dry-erase surfaces. Brainstorm away — but no permanent markers, please!

What people are saying:

“As a first time entrepreneur, starting a business can be an intimidating process, but having a welcoming, free co-working space that is open to the public helps to remove a huge barrier. This has enabled me to make helpful connections and learn a ton from other entrepreneurs at various stages of their businesses.”

“District Hall is perfect for early stage founders — the Public Lounge is free, you can rent private meeting space, and the coffee at Brew is great!”

Amrita Aviyente

“I telecommute, so District Hall is a great place for me to work. It’s a place where I can just come & get my work done, with plenty of outlets and no strings attached.”
