District Hall is a LEED-silver, highly contemporary building designed by award-winning architects Hacin + Associates, and has been figured in publications like Interior Design Magazine, Fast Company, and Metropolis.


Our space has personality — and it’s also designed so that you can make it your own. Our IdeaPaint walls, divideable rooms, and moveable furniture are designed so that the space can reflect every event’s unique identity.

Coronavirus undoubtedly has affected how we all think about events moving forward. Our main priority is ensuring that your guests feel safe. We are increasing our cleanings, separating seating for social distancing, stocking plenty of hand sanitizer, and creating a one-way flow through the building to name a few. During this time, we understand the importance of being flexible and are happy to discuss your booking in more detail to figure out what is best!

Assembly is our most flexible space: great for panels, workshops, hackathons, dinners, performances, film screenings, conferences, and more. The space contains 2 acoustically-rated garage doors to partition the space into three smaller rooms or other configurations, so the space can adapt to your event needs.

For large scale events, many different setup configurations are available, and the building can transition easily from one kind of use during the day to another at night (i.e. daytime conference into a nighttime reception). For events of this scale, the District Hall staff will work with you to find the right configuration for your needs.

Free Wifi

Our entire building is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, so you and your guests can stay connected at all times.

Integrated Power

With floor outlets throughout and plenty of integrated-power worktables, you’ll always be able to plug in.

Writeable Walls

Our walls are painted with IdeaPaint, an innovative paint that transforms walls into dry-erase surfaces. No need to bring your own markers – we’ve got you covered!

Audio and visual

Each meeting space is equipped with a projector, Bose sound system, and wireless handheld microphones. Polycomms or webcams are available upon request.

Flexible space

Almost all of our furniture (and even some of our walls) are moveable and the layout of the space fosters collaboration, connection, and conversation.

On-Site Catering

Briar Events provides high-quality catering for all of our events in partnership with our onsite restaurant and café, Gather and Brew.

Food + Beverage

District Hall has an exclusive catering partnership with Briar Events, the event planning arm of The Briar Group, who operate a wide variety of restaurants across the city, including our on-site restaurant and café, Gather and Brew.


Briar Events offers a wide selection of delicious catering options and can accommodate a wide variety of events. Click here to see a sample catering menu.


Gather, our onsite restaurant, serves inventive, modern American inspired cuisine that accommodates all palates. Gather also has a bar rail that can be reserved for private events. Learn more.


Our onsite coffee shop, Brew, offers a range of breakfast + lunch options, coffee + other beverages. Guests are welcome to open a tab at Brew and bring food into the meeting rooms. Learn more.

Site Fee Discounts

As a nonprofit, we are happy to support fellow nonprofits, startups, and on-mission events with a cost reduction on our site fees. All discounts are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that we always start by sending clients a full quote. If you would like to be considered for a discount, please follow up with your event manager after you receive an initial quote.

Free WorkSpace

As part of our mission, we operate our public lounge as free, public workspace on weekdays. Equipped with free WiFi, writeable walls, integrated power worktables, and delicious coffee, it’s the perfect place to plug in, hold a quick meeting, or connect with folks.
