Join the 2015 First Literacy Lab grant recipients who developed and tested innovative approaches to educating the adult students in their programs.

The event will start with brief presentations by each of the eight grant recipients, followed by attendees selecting and interacting with two projects to explore in greater depth during break-out sessions for about 20 minutes each.

First Literacy opens life-changing educational opportunities for adults and their families. They increase literacy by:

• making grants to neighborhood literacy programs
• providing technical assistance to literacy providers and other funders
• awarding First Literacy Scholarships to adults continuing on to college
• developing special projects that fill unmet literacy needs
• educating people about the benefits of a fully literate society
